Artist Statement

“This piece is entirely my own design, and it can be seen how past cartoonists and illustrators like Robert Crumb (without his more suggestive elements) and Harvey Kurtzman have influenced my visual and written narrative. I'm moved by how some stories in a graphic style, such as comics, can express ranges of emotion, tone, and engage an audience with little to no dialogue. Besides the thought bubbles, my characters don't really say much, but my goal was to bring a story that any creative individual can relate to, or even chuckle with as they see one life unravel in as little as four pages.”
