Artist Statement

"Through my photos I like to show a different side of the people and places that I visit. In the Kashmir region, I chose to focus on the daily life of the people, their culture, and their religion by observing life from a bus stop. While in Srinagar, the capital, I spent my time visiting one of the main bus stops to capture the comings and goings of the locals. Some were traveling home, some were rushing to work, others were coming to receive medical care. Through my lens, I was able to see different details of an area that is often correlated with war and conflict."
