Waterworks

Waterworks

Martha Nance is a previously unpublished photographer who is a physician by day, and a sometimes photographer on the weekends and perhaps even in between patients.

Artist Statement

"The artist is a previously unpublished photographer, a physician by day, who discovered a magic fountain hidden in plain view outside her office, filled with an infinite variety of colors and shapes, and funny little white squiggles. My first photos from this spot, I referred to as 'Waterwords', but these are 'Waterworks'. I have enclosed six representative photos, entitled 'A fault in the ionosphere', 'Electric Melt 2', 'Elon', 'Flag', 'Tenor saxophone', and 'Tiny voices lost in the maelstrom'. A tiny clue: the technical term for the white squiggles is 'caustics'."
