"I work from my imagination to depict females, nudes, and painterly environmental flora and fauna that are not constrained by the grasp of reality. The perpetuation of female as sex object is a deep counterpoint within my work, and in searching to create an alternative to the dominant view, I examine the contradictions of woman as sex object and as an independent subject not autonomous from the female sexual experience. My work is a celebration of the female, the natural world and phenomena, and a closer examination of limits within which today’s culture places the feminine and visual experiences."
