Artist Statement

"The omnipresence of digital screens in our lives has changed the context through which we digest information and seek new perspectives. How these new perspectives are expanding our ideas of “reality” to unite the natural world with the more mercurial digital world is where I explore narratives in my paintings. I combine visual aesthetics from both of these clashing realities within a single piece so each perspective is more vibrant and alive by contrast. I believe this new visual language allows me to question timeless topics like gender, love, death, domestication, etc. through a forever changed contemporary mindset."
