"What's the world for you if you can't make it up the way you want."

Artist Statement

“These pictures are part of my ongoing, never-ending hunt for odd finds and unexpected juxtapositions across mediums and formats. In the collages as well as the photographs, I tried to arrange materials as I hadn’t attempted before, in perverse yet fun ways. The three collages, “Amberized,” “Raindrops,” and “Jungle,” place snippets of animals and nature into my own twisted landscapes. The photographs, “Family Portrait” and “Candle,” were taken with expired 200 film, my camera’s ISO cranked to 3200, with the random props I happened to have on-hand. All 5 pieces are my portal into made-up worlds that can’t be defined.”
