Artist Statement

“These pieces were completed during a ten-day trip to Portugal. I gave myself the challenge of doing ten drawings in ten days, and I posted the work online as I completed it. The idea was to do something in the spirit of the now-famous 100-day projects but on a smaller scale. I worked on-site whenever possible, and looked for various types and styles of architecture, from the Moorish castle that sits above the city to the modern Calouste Gulbenkian collection at its outskirts.”
