Artist Statement

“These photographs are from the Magnificent Seven Victorian Era cemeteries of London. In this, "ab" stands for Abney, "br" stands for Brompton, "hg" stands for High Gate, "k" stands for Kensal, "th" stands for Tower Hill/Tower Hamlet. Over the course of a month I traveled through these often neglected, overgrown, and in many cases, destroyed cemeteries to try to capture the beauty and peace. At some times, I was proven wrong and the feeling was far more uncomfortable, but I hope to have captured the truth behind these places.”
